Your Privacy Matters
We built Open Chat because we wanted a more private solution—one that lets you use AI providers that don't train on your data.
That said, you can use any provider you like with Open Chat. Not every provider has the same privacy policy, so you should always refer to your chosen provider's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
Data Storage
All your messages and outputs are stored on your device. We do not have access to your conversations or any personal data you input into the application.
Analytics
We use TelemetryDeck to understand basic analytics—like how many people use the app and which features are most popular. TelemetryDeck is anonymized and private by default. Learn more about their practices in TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
When you use third-party language model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.), your data is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any providers you choose to use.
